MANY school records were broken this year, some of them shattered:

Football records set 2016

Congratulations to the football team who had a historic season. They started by winning their district and qualifying for state play-off competition. They hosted a first round game which had never happened at Midland previously. They won the first and second round games and qualified to go to the UNI Dome for the semi-final game. Unfortunately they had some key players get injured as they ran in to a very talented team in Don Bosco in the semi finals and their season ended. There is great pride to be in the top 4 teams in the entire state of Iowa in 8 man football!

This team showed a great amount of heart, talent, athleticism and sportsmanship all year. They represented themselves, their families, their school and their community very well. We are very proud of all of their accomplishments.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all who supported all of the extra efforts on behalf of the team throughout the community. The support from parents, grandparents, businesses, family and friends was outstanding! Together we can do great things!

We say thank you and best wishes to the many senior leaders on this team, they will be greatly missed. They have set the bar very high for those following in their footsteps. The JV squad went undefeated this season so they have the potential to do great things as well. Have a good off season and come back bigger and stronger and faster next fall.

Pep Rally fun from October 27th:

AD Casey Hack introduces XC Coach Jon Eganhouse and State Qualifier Jaelynn Folkers to a huge round of applause. The cheerleaders led the crowd in some spirited cheers.

The Football players got involved in the celebration. Some senior football players talked, Landon Hunter gave his thoughtful commentary on the opportunities before them. Here Homecoming King Ty'Rique Turman talks.

The band posed for a photo op while waiting as the football players loaded the fire truck.
