SPONSORS: Miss Kellie Kelck and Mrs. Elizabeth Wright
Soaring Eagles is a by invitation after school program for selected 6-8th grade students.
Each fall our faculty is asked to submit recommendations of students who they think would benefit from the goals and programing of the Soaring Eagles.
The goals of the Soaring Eagles Program are:
to foster greater confidence in one's self
encourage academic progress
build a community of support at school
The Soaring Eagles faculty sponsors are committed to creating a welcoming supportive environment for Soaring Eagles participants so that students may learn more about
themselves and find their niche in the school setting.
The Soaring Eagles Program is designed to help students build stronger academic, social, and life skills. Students who participate in the program spend time each day
working on homework, free reading, and team building activities. We also have discussion and learning time on topics such as health and self-care, hygiene, cooking, physical
fitness, bullying, violence, and substance abuse. In addition to our daily activities we sometimes have fun off campus events such as swimming, going to a movie, or going
to see an interesting museum exhibit.
