TECHNOLOGY

Midland has a 1:1 Laptop program for students in grades 6-12.  Each student receives a laptop when they come to Midland that is theirs to use while a student here.  Parents must sign the technology forms for the student to get the computer. 6th graders will be required to keep their laptop at school, those in grades 7-12 can take them home with parent permission.

Midland does offer optional computer laptop insurance to each student for $25.00. This would cover one instance of laptop breakage. At that point the student can repurchase another policy for another $25.00. If there is a second instance of breakage, the cost to purchase a third policy in any school year would be $50.00.

Any student who opts to purchase laptop insurance once the school year has started will need to have their laptop inspected by Mr. Greenfield before the policy would go into effect. The laptop must be in the condition as issued, any damage which would occur between the laptop being issued and insurance purchase would be charged at full rate. If you have any questions regarding laptop insurance, contact Dan Greenfield, Technology Director or the high school office.

Here are the technology forms for those who need them at Midland, staff and students:
