Meet our School Board Candidates — Vote Nov. 4th, 2025

School board elections are coming up on November 4, 2025. We asked this year’s candidates a few questions to help introduce them to the Midland Community before November.

Kathleen “Katie” Baumer

Kathleen is a community-minded Onslow resident, dedicated volunteer and business owner eager to strengthening Midland’s schools through transparency, fiscal responsibility, and support for students, staff, and families alike.

Kirk is a River Valley Cooperative account manager and dedicated community member who hopes to help Midland’s students and schools thrive by supporting their needs, encouraging growth, and keeping the district moving forward.

James is a combat veteran, former law enforcement officer, and devoted father of four who seeks to bring disciplined, community-focused leadership to Midland’s school board to ensure every student has the resources, support, and opportunities to thrive.

Dustin Klein

Dustin is a Midland parent and safety manager from Wyoming committed to supporting the growing school district by ensuring students are held accountable, educators have the tools and support they need, and the community stays informed and engaged.

Jason is a Lost Nation resident, firefighter, and farmer who hopes to bring fresh insight to the Midland school board by focusing on student success, supporting staff, maintaining transparency, and strengthening enrollment in the district.
