The Leader in Me is a school-wide program that helps students, teachers, staff, and parents develop leadership and life skills. The program is based on the principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey.
The program’s goals include: Building resilience and leadership in students, Creating a high-trust culture, Improving academic achievement, Empowering students to be leaders, and Teaching 21st century skills.
This Leader In Me Tree mural was created by Midland elementary students, both in design and execution, during spring of 2024.
