1. Introduction
The Midland Community School District (“District”) is requesting proposals from qualified roofing
contractors to provide roof replacement services for one or more District facilities. This project is
intended to address existing roof leak issues and replacement.

3. Scope of Work
The selected contractor will provide labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete roof
replacement at the following location(s):
Building Name(s): Midland Middle/High School

Roof Type(s): Rubberized
General scope includes but is not limited to:
- On-site inspection and assessment
- Identification of leak sources
- 5 different roof levels
- Repair of seams, flashing, penetrations, drains
- Replacement of roofs and additional damaged materials as needed
- Ensuring watertight integrity
- Timely completion of project
- Site cleanup and disposal
4. Contractor Qualifications
- Licensed in the State of Iowa
- Experience with commercial or K–12 roofing
- Proof of insurance (General Liability and Workers’ Compensation)
- 2–3 references

6. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on cost, experience, proposed solution, and timeline. The District is not required to accept the lowest-cost proposal.

cancel this RFP.
