Midland TAP Partners with HACAP to Launch Food Reservoir Supporting Students and Families

Wyoming, IA — Midland Transition Alliance Program (TAP) is proud to announce a new partnership with HACAP to establish a Midland Food Reservoir, a new resource designed to support Midland students and their families.

The Midland Food Reservoir will serve as a food resource for families in the district while also providing valuable hands-on work experience for TAP students. Through this initiative, students will gain practical skills in organization, communication, and service while helping meet an important community need.

The program will operate through a confidential and convenient online ordering system. Families will receive the order form link through Midland’s social media platforms. Once submitted, TAP students will confidentially fulfill each order to ensure privacy and respect for all families.

Food distribution will take place on Tuesdays. Families may pick up their orders at assigned times outside the Midland District Office by pulling up and texting the program coordinator Angie Sconsa at 319-480-3873 upon arrival. Arrangements may also be available to have food items discreetly sent home with students.

The Midland Food Reservoir will be open to all Midland students and their families. This collaboration reflects Midland’s ongoing commitment to supporting the well-being of its students both inside and outside the classroom.

More details, including the official pantry name and launch date, will be shared soon. If this goes well, there are opportunities to expand to serve other community members.
