The Midland Community School District is exploring the possibility of offering a before and after-school program (BASP) at the elementary school in Oxford Junction. The district has appropriate space available and recognizes a growing need for additional childcare options for families in our community.
At this time, the district is not planning to operate the program directly. Instead, Midland is seeking to partner with an individual or organization interested in running the program while using school facilities.
The program would operate on regular school attendance days and would be managed by the outside partner. The district would provide space and coordination, with details outlined through a formal agreement.
The program operator would be responsible for:
- Staffing and supervision
- Daily operations
- Licensing and regulatory compliance (if applicable)
- Fee collection and overall program management
Midland views this as a community partnership that could support families, students, and the local workforce. We welcome any ideas, referrals, or connections to individuals or organizations that may be interested.
